Konstantin Sokolov

Konstantin Sokolov is an American entrepreneur, private equity investor and philanthropist with more than two decades of experience building critical infrastructure across telecommunications, energy and financial services.

He is Founder and Chairman of IJS Investments, a Chicago-based private equity firm directed toward infrastructure projects that promote regional resilience, connectivity, and sustainable long-term growth.

Mr. Sokolov serves on the Board of Trustees of the Munich Security Conference Foundation, American Friends of the Munich Security Conference and the University of Chicago. He is also a member of the Council on Chicago Booth and the Booth Polsky Private Equity Council.

He began his career at Qwest Communications, now Lumen Technologies, before moving to Centrica PLC, serving as Managing Director for Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions. He has since advised governments and major companies, guided public market listings and led restructuring for central banks and sovereign wealth funds. He holds a master’s degree in mathematics and computer science from St. Petersburg State University and an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
